New York

Welcome to Joong Do Kwan U.S.A.

I’m Will Just, and I’m proud to lead our new Joong Do Kwan location here in Schenectady, New York (website). JDK USA LLC is closely connected to our international headquarters in Perth, Australia, operated by Colin Wee. It’s been incredibly exciting to bring The JDK Method to the Capital Region and share this approach with martial artists across upstate New York.

The JDK Method equips us with a lens: a way to interpret traditional martial arts with clarity, adaptability, and purpose. It’s not just about technique. It’s about understanding how structure, timing, and mindset come together to meet the demands of an ever-changing world.

If you’re curious about traditional training with modern relevance, I invite you to set up an interview and experience the system for yourself.

You’ll find us at:
1840 Van Vranken Ave, Schenectady, NY 12308
(Located near Ellis Hospital and across from Rivers Casino)

We’re building something special here—where tradition meets progressive practice. Whether you’re returning to martial arts or exploring it for the first time, I look forward to training with you.

About Your Instructor at JDK USA

JDK USA LLC established in Schenectady NY in 2024, is led by Will Just.

Will Just has experience in various martial arts and combat sports. He primarily focuses on evolving his practice with the insight gained through the practice and application of Kata.

Will has integrated his art into the world of off-grid living. Will believes that understanding our intention, assessing the self within the present, and mitigating how we use and identify body language, can help us open our senses to the multidimensional landscape of the world. We can then integrate these skills to other aspects of life.

Will believes mental visualization training from the martial arts helps the tactician to deal with duress and stressful situations. Will brings the dojo into the real world by working as a high-angle rescue technician, a wilderness paramedic, wildland firefighter, and has been a leader in disaster relief efforts.

Will holds a 5th Dan under Grandmaster Les Zampino and is a JDK affiliate blackbelt under Master Colin Wee.
